The Townsend Board and community members work hard to keep everyone involved in social, political, and safety events, maintaining roadways, organizing recreational events, ensuring public safety, and facilitating community involvement.

As with any small community it is important to have partnerships with surrounding areas. These include Oconto County, Police, Friends of Townsend Fire, Lakewood area Chamber of Commerce, Lakes Country Library and many others...

Monica was elected Chairperson in April 2023. Her and husband John, have lived in Townsend since 2020 but bought their first cottage in 2012. Since the first time they visited Townsend they fell in love with the community. They have three children, and 1 grandchild and love to travel, cook, bake, read, paint and spend time with the family

Linda has been the clerk since April 2017. Her and Husband Dwight have lived here since April 2002. Linda was a chief inspector for the elections for over 15 years. She is an avid golfer and had been a member of the McCaslin Lioness and now the McCaslin Lions Club. She is grandma to four from Dwight's 2 daughters and a grand "bestie" to Winona.

Chuck was elected to the board in 2023. He and wife Pam moved up permanently in 2020, but have been part of the community for 52 years.

Chuck was a territory sales rep. He is an active member of the Townsend Fire Department and on board of the Townsend Flowage Protection District for 24 years.

Willie was elected to the board in 2023. He and his wife Kathy owned Kathy's Valley Inn for 12 years. Willie is an avid fisherman and repairs small engine.

Beth was elected Treasurer in 2019. She is also the appointed clerk in the Town of Riverview and owner of Tri-Fitness Health Club. Beth has been an active 1st responder. Her and her husband Philip have 2 daughters and 2 grandkids. They love to spend time at the lake, raise animals and garden.
